Where Grace and Wonder Lie

In a world where shadows fall,
And doubts besiege the heart’s great hall,
There dwells a tale of old, profound,
Where impossibility finds ground.

Upon a day, when fear held sway,
In locked rooms where disciples lay,
A whisper soft, a breath of peace,
Brought hope to doubt, and doubt’s release.

For in that chamber, closed and tight,
Where darkness reigned with all its might,
A presence came, unseen, yet near,
Dispelling dread and drawing near.

Thomas, doubting, sought to know,
To touch the scars, the truth to show,
Yet in his doubt, belief was found,
The impossible on holy ground.

For faith, in trembling, reached its hand,
And touched the wounds, once pierced and banned,
And in that touch, a revelation,
Of life triumphant, without cessation.

The story tells of doubts transformed,
Of hearts once cold, now strangely warmed,
The impossible, made real, profound,
In faith’s embrace, where love is found.

So let us ponder, in our days,
The truth that echoes through the haze,
That doubts may fade, and faith may rise,
In realms where grace and wonder lies.

  1. I love this, Tim. The feelings of love, hope and grace are abundant here. How I wish this would transfer to the world at large and we would all just love each other.
