To be Ordained; a spoken word poem about ordination

There’s a man, standing tall and proud, With a sense of purpose, he’s not allowed Anything to stop him on his way To become an ordained minister one day.

He’s walked a path that’s not always clear, Faced fears and doubts, but he’s still here. And now, as he stands on the brink, Of a new chapter, his heart starts to sing.

For he knows that his calling is real, A deep conviction that he can’t conceal. And he’s grateful for every step he’s taken, And for the strength that he’s been given.

He’s seen the world and all its pains, But he knows that he can make a change, With the power of love and the light within, He can help heal the broken and begin again.

So he’s ready to take on the task, To serve with passion and love that lasts, To stand as a symbol of hope and grace, And to help others find their own sacred space.

He’s glad to soon become ordained, To bring new life to the world, unrestrained, And he’ll carry on with a heart full of joy, And the faith that’s brought him this far, he’ll employ.
