Resistance is Relational; a spoken word about activism!

In a world of chaos and strife,

Where darkness seeks to claim our life,

A glimmer of hope, a shining light,

Resistance blooms, and hearts ignite.

For in this battle, we stand together,

Bound by bonds no force can sever,

Resistance is not an act alone,

But a dance between souls, a harmony sown.

It starts with a whisper, a shared belief,

A spark of courage, a shared relief,

A simple truth that we hold dear,

That united we stand, conquering fear.

Resistance is relational, you see,

For it flows through you and flows through me,

It thrives in the spaces where connections are made,

In the strength of relationships, foundations laid.

In the clasping of hands, in the meeting of eyes,

In the empathy shared, where compassion lies,

Resistance is the bridge that we build,

To reach across divides, hearts to be filled.

It’s the voice that speaks up when silence is strong,

The heart that refuses to follow the wrong,

It’s the unity forged in times of distress,

A collective force, a powerful caress.

Resistance is the melody of the oppressed,

Rising above, refusing to rest,

It’s the unyielding spirit, the unwavering fight,

Drawing strength from the shadows, fueled by the night.

So let us join hands, hearts intertwined,

In this tapestry of resistance, together we’ll find,

That in the bonds we forge, the love we embrace,

We can triumph over darkness, bring light to this space.

For resistance is relational, an eternal flame,

And united we rise, transcending the game,

With empathy as our weapon, love as our shield,

We’ll create a world where compassion is revealed.
