Anger boils inside me like a raging fire As I look around at a society that is so divisive and unfair How can we claim to be free when discrimination is still rampant? Racism, sexism, homophobia – it’s all still here, lurking beneath the surface It’s like a sickness that infects us all A disease that spreads like wildfire, consuming everything in its path
I am angry at a society that tells us to hide our differences To pretend we are all the same, when we clearly are not Why should I hide my identity to make someone else feel comfortable? Why should I be forced to assimilate, to fit into someone else’s mold?
I am angry at a society that puts profit before people Where the rich get richer and the poor get left behind Where healthcare is a privilege, not a right Where education is a commodity, not a necessity
But in my anger, I find hope I know that I am not alone in my frustration That there are others who share my passion for justice and equality Together, we can create change, and build a society that is truly free
So let us stand together, in our anger and in our hope Let us fight for a world that is inclusive and just Let us never give up, never give in For in our anger, lies the seed of revolution And in our hope, lies the promise of a better tomorrow.
