Inclusion and Christianity, Two concepts that some find at odds, But if we look a little deeper, We’ll find they’re one and the same, by God.
For Christ himself was inclusive, Welcoming all with open arms, From the outcasts to the sinners, He saw them all as beloved charms.
And so it is with us today, As we seek to follow in his ways, To love all people as they are, And to embrace them without delay.
It’s a call to fight for justice, And to stand up for what is right, To tear down the walls of prejudice, And to celebrate diversity’s might.
For when we embrace inclusion, We create a church that’s strong, A church that’s open-hearted, And where everyone belongs.
It’s a church where race is celebrated, And where gender is not a cage, Where queerness is seen as beautiful, And where everyone is engaged.
So let us all stand together, And fight for a world that’s fair, To create a church that’s inclusive, And a world that’s free of despair.
For when we embrace our differences, We create a world that’s bright, A world that’s full of beauty, And a world that’s filled with light.
So let us be the change we seek, And never let our love grow cold, For when we embrace inclusion, We create a world that’s bold.
