Harry Potter and the Lenten Season

As Harry Potter entered the Great Hall for dinner, he couldn’t help but feel the weight of his burdens. The weight of the prophecy, the weight of the war against Voldemort, and the weight of the losses he had already experienced.

But then, he remembered the words of Dumbledore, “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”

Harry thought about those words as he made his way to his dormitory. He realized that even in the midst of his struggles, he could still find joy and hope.

This Lenten season, as we journey through the wilderness of our own lives, we may also feel the weight of our burdens. We may be facing personal struggles, the weight of the world’s problems, or the loss of loved ones.

But like Harry, we can turn on the light. We can find joy and hope in the midst of our struggles. We can find strength in our faith and in the love and support of those around us.

Lent is a time of reflection and renewal. It’s a time to examine our hearts, to let go of the things that hold us back, and to open ourselves up to the transformative power of God’s love and grace.

Just like Harry, we can choose to turn on the light. We can choose to let go of our burdens, to find joy in the journey, and to trust in the hope of the resurrection.

May this Lenten season be a time of transformation and renewal for us all, as we journey through the wilderness and towards the light.
