In the cradle of family, we find our first lessons, In the arms of kin, we learn the meaning of ties, Bonds that run deep, deeper than the marrow, Yet, sometimes we drift, on separate currents, opposite skies.
To my family, those who stay, and those who turn away, I speak to you, a spoken word, a verse, a say, In the language of love, in the dialect of the heart, To mend the fractures, to heal the part.
For those who stand with me, hands clasped in unity, In shared laughter and tears, you are my sanctuary, Your love, a lighthouse, guiding me through stormy weather, Anchoring me, in the turbulent sea, tethered together.
To those who’ve chosen distance, who’ve pulled away, Your silence echoes, in the chambers of my heart, it lay, But understand this, even as you choose exile, I bear no malice, no resentment, no denial.
For we are bound by blood, tied by shared history, Woven into the tapestry of family, a complex mystery, Your judgment, your silence, it may cause a tear, But it cannot erase the love, cannot make it disappear.
My path may be different, my beliefs not aligned, Yet, that does not diminish, the ties that bind, Our shared memories, the echoes of our shared name, I hold onto them, extinguishing the blame.
From conservative roots, I may have strayed, Into the vast expanse of love, in every shade, To those who feel aggrieved, I plead for your understanding, For love, in all its forms, is truly commanding.
Exiled, or embraced, I stand tall, I stand true, For family is not just who I’m tied to by blood, but who I choose too, In the end, love is our shared language, our common verse, In acceptance, in understanding, we converse.
I ask you now, to listen, not with your prejudice, but your soul, To see past differences, towards a unified goal, For while our beliefs may diverge, our paths may vary, The power of love should always carry.
Remember, we are but stardust, in this vast cosmic swirl, Part of the same constellation, each man, woman, boy, and girl, In our hearts, let’s etch this simple, yet profound reality, That love is love, irrespective of its duality.
So here I stand, in my truth, my spoken word, With an olive branch extended, a plea to be heard, In the hope, that one day, beyond the exile, beyond the divide, We’ll stand together, as family, side by side.
Love!!
This is beautiful!
