As a pastor of a church, In the United Church of Christ, I’ve learned to embrace diversity, With love as my guiding light.
My flock is a tapestry, Of different colors and hues, Different cultures and traditions, Different political views.
Some lean left, some lean right, And some find their own way, But I know that they all belong, In this church where we pray.
For though our views may differ, We all seek to do what’s right, To live with love and kindness, And to shine our inner light.
And as their pastor, I’m humbled, To be part of this tapestry, To lead this diverse congregation, With grace and humility.
For though our views may differ, We are one in our faith, One in our commitment to love, And to walk in the narrow way.
So I’ll continue to lead and serve, With love as my guiding star, Trusting in God’s wisdom and grace, As we journey on together, near and far.
Very well said. Thanks for the compliment of our congregation.
Trinity UCC is one of the best congregations in the Conference! I’ll tell anyone that!
