I am not broken!

I am not broken, though my brain may work differently,

I am not damaged, though my wiring may seem strange,

I am neurodivergent, and I have a unique perspective,

I have a way of thinking that sets me apart, and that’s okay.

Growing up, I struggled to fit in, to keep up with the norm,

I felt like a puzzle piece that didn’t quite fit the form,

But then I discovered the beauty in my difference,

The way my mind could see the world through a different lens

My OCD gave me hyperfocus, a passion for my dreams,

My OCD gave me clarity, a way of seeing things,

My anxiety gave me empathy, a deep understanding,

And my depression gave me strength—a demanding resilience.

Yes, I have struggled, but I have also overcome,

I have learned to manage my challenges and embrace my differences,

I have found my niche, my place in this world,

And I know that I have something unique to offer.

So to all my neurodivergent sisters and brothers,

You are not broken, you are not wrong,

You are beautifully unique, and you have so much to give,

You have the power to overcome, to thrive, and to live.

Embrace your differences, your quirks, your strengths,

And know that you are not alone in your journey,

We are a community, a tribe of warriors,

And together, we can overcome anything.

So let us live fully, let us thrive in our uniqueness,

Let us celebrate our neurodivergent brilliance,

For we are not broken, we are beautifully different,

And we have so much to offer this world.
