Loving and Divine Presence,

We humbly come before You, acknowledging Your boundless love and infinite wisdom. As we gather in prayer, we seek Your grace and protection for all those embarking on their journeys to the 34th General Synod of the United Church of Christ. We recognize Your encompassing presence, which transcends all human understanding.

Eternal Spirit, we ask for Your guidance and watchful care over every traveler. May Your guiding light illuminate their paths, ensuring safe and secure travels for each one. Surround them with Your unwavering love and shield them from any harm or adversity that they may encounter along their way.

Holy One, we entrust their physical safety to Your compassionate embrace. Provide strength and well-being for their bodies as they navigate various modes of transportation. Grant them restful sleep, nourishing meals, and moments of rejuvenation to sustain their energy throughout the journey.

In this prayer, we also lift up the travelers’ mental and emotional well-being. Bring calmness to their minds and hearts, offering reassurance and peace amid any uncertainties or challenges they may face. Grant them clarity of thought and discernment to make sound decisions, ensuring a smooth and stress-free travel experience.

Divine Presence, we ask for harmonious connections and meaningful encounters along their journeys. May they meet fellow pilgrims who share their devotion to the United Church of Christ’s mission and vision. Inspire conversations that foster understanding, unity, and a deeper commitment to justice, love, and inclusion.

As they convene for the General Synod, we pray for divine guidance and wisdom to infuse their discussions and deliberations. May the decisions made be rooted in Your all-encompassing love, reflecting a desire to cultivate a community that embraces diversity, equity, and compassion. Grant them the ability to discern Your will for the United Church of Christ, striving for transformative growth and collective renewal.
